It's been a really emotional day

My Grandmother was finally released of all her pain and went to live in the House of the Lord today. We have been by her side since she was brought home on Friday. My sister, who is the closest to her, is just amazing. I know this has taken a toll on her. So the next few days are going to be hard, but with my family and friends support, I know we will be fine. God Bless you Mom Mom!! I hope you and Pop Pop are having a wonderful dance together. WE love you both..Always!!!

It's been a looooooooong time....

since I last blogged. So I really need to start getting my butt in gear. I seemed to have lost my mojo and I am hoping to find it soon. I have been blog hopping trying to find some inspiration and in my travels I found some wonderful blog candy at Claire's Blog. So make sure you check it out.

I'm a Runner Up

Well its been a while since I blogged. I got some really good news yesterday. I entered a contest for Traci Reed and was chosen as one of the runner ups. I had to come up with a idea board for a kit, in which I called "With Sugar on Top". Well I will get my kit when she makes it for free and a $10 gift certificate to her store. I love her stuff. So pretty cool, huh?

Last weekend I had some mojo and created a few things. The first thing is an altered Wooden "P" with a Twilight theme for my daughter.

I also made some hybrid magnets for the frig. I am currently working on an altered heart frame for my granddaughter.

I am planning on making some Valentines Day gifts tomorrow.

Happy Friday the 13th!!!!!

First time eating sushi:
Well went into work at 5am as usual on Fridays. I had my friend Remi pick me up for work. A small group of us decided to go out after work for Sushi. Well I have to say I was very nervous, since I had never tried it before. Well I let Remi and Charlie order since they are the pros. I tried the California rolls first, no fish in them, they were really good. Then I got brave and tried everything else. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Also sake is awesome!!!Needless to say we all had a really good time. Here are some photos from today:Photobucket
My first blog entry:
Well...I am an official blogger. Who would of thought?????????? I thought this would be a great place for me to ramble about my daily life and show some of my creations. So I'm excited and nervous, to see how well I maintain this blog. I can tell you now that I am using scrapping and crafts as my distraction. Life throws us many curve balls and sometimes we don't know how to handle them. So this is one of the ways I deal with lifes issues. It definitely helps keep my mind off of things.
As a dear friend of mine always says "Yesterday is history, Tomorrow is a mystery and Today is a gift".

Here are some phot
os from today, we got snow yesterday and freezing rain today.
